This program addresses the factual and legal circumstances leading to the State of New Hampshire’s claims for overpayment of unemployment benefits in light of the federal extension of unemployment benefits prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic; recent updates and changes to the federal law surrounding payment of those benefits; the procedure by which these claims for overpayment may be addressed; and the intersection of workers’ compensation and unemployment when individuals have been out of work due to COVID-19.
