This program covers a wide range of topics that span the life-cycle of an employee, from issues that arise with interviewing and hiring to termination and unemployment concerns. Our experienced faculty of private sector and government attorneys also cover many subjects that come up in between, such as enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act, claims of employment discrimination for the NH Commission before Human Rights, risk management in the workplace, state and federal leave laws, plaintiff-specific issues, among other matters. The program will also touch on common ethical issues that may arise for employment attorneys.
The CLE is designed to provide an overview of a variety of employment topics rather than an advanced study of any particular area. This seminar provides opportunities for both newer attorneys and more experienced practitioners to interact with representatives from the National Labor Relations Board, NH Unemployment Security, and the New Hampshire Human Rights Commission, as well as respected private practitioners. Attendees are able to ask questions to enhance their understanding. and gain practice tips. Attorneys that are responsible for managing employees themselves, in-house counsel, general practitioners, and corporate counsel can also learn valuable information to apply in their practice.
Who Should Attend this Program?
Less experienced employment law practitioners will benefit from the broad overview provided. General practitioners, corporate attorneys, in-house counsel, experienced employment law practitioners, and employers will benefit from current updates, the opportunity to pick up new practice tips, and from learning about topics that they have not focused on previously.
