On March 6, 2024, Governor Chris Sununu signed Senate Bill 255 into law, making New Hampshire the 15th state to enact a comprehensive privacy law. The law goes into effect on January 1, 2025. This CLE presentation provides a general overview of the new privacy law. We explain the scope of applicability of the new law, exemptions, the rights afforded consumers and obligations of businesses.
